Boggy fells, greasy rock on the way down, mile after mile on your feet — the moments you most want a walking pole are exactly when a full-length one is a pain to carry. This foldable trekking pole solves the trade-off: it collapses to just 36 cm for your rucksack, extends to 130 cm on the trail, and locks solid with a 3-in-1 safety system that holds firm under pressure yet releases with a single press of a button.

Why This Pole Earns Its Place in Your Pack

7075 aviation-grade aluminium alloy shaft — the same alloy grade used in aerospace, giving an excellent strength-to-weight ratio without bulking out your kit.

3-in-1 safety locking system — a wire connection, safety lock with adjustment screw, and reinforced ring with steel column all work together so the pole can't collapse unexpectedly on steep ground.

Adjustable 110–130 cm length — precision scale markings on the shaft let you set the exact height for your stride and the terrain underfoot.

Folds down to 36 cm — small enough to clip to the outside of a rucksack or drop inside it without eating up space.

EVA ergonomic handle with nylon wrist strap — the foam grip soaks up vibration and sweat, whilst the two-tone nylon strap keeps the pole secure on descents.

Tungsten-titanium steel tip — bites into hard rock, compacted soil and paved paths where ordinary steel tips skate about.

Detachable snow/mud basket included — threads onto the tip to stop the pole sinking into mud, snow or soft ground — a genuine essential for British trails.

Where to Use This Hiking Pole

Built for hiking, trekking and trail walking across every terrain type — mountain paths, forest tracks, rocky descents, snowy winter conditions and long-distance walking routes alike. It's light enough for day hikes and rambles, tough enough for multi-day backpacking, and equally suited to Nordic walking or simply steadying yourself on uneven ground.

How the Folding and Locking System Works

To extend, pull each section outwards — the concealed lock pops up automatically once the section reaches position, clicking it firmly into place. Then set your preferred height using the scale markings on the shaft, taking care not to extend beyond the Stop logo. To collapse, press and hold the button on each section and push inwards. The three-layer safety system (wire connection + safety lock + reinforced ring) keeps the pole rigid under load, yet lets it fold away cleanly when you're done. Please note: this listing is for one pole — order two if you'd like a full pair.

How It Compares
Feature This Trekking Pole Standard Folding Poles
Shaft material 7075 aviation aluminium alloy Often standard aluminium
Locking system 3-in-1 safety lock Typically single twist-lock
Tip material Tungsten-titanium steel Usually carbide or steel
Folded length 36 cm Often 40–50 cm
Snow basket Included, detachable Often sold separately
Accessories Mud mop + rubber protector + tip Varies
Setting Up and Using It

If you're heading into mud or snow, thread the snow basket onto the tip before setting off. Extend each section to your preferred height on the precision scale — always stopping before the Stop logo — and slip your hand through the wrist strap before any descent. When you're finished, press each section's button to retract, fold the pole down to 36 cm, and secure it with the included accessories for storage or travel.

Care and Maintenance

Wipe the shaft and handle down with a clean, damp cloth after each walk, and clear any mud or grit from the tip and basket before packing away — hardly optional given the state of most UK footpaths. Check the locking mechanism from time to time to make sure it engages firmly; if it ever feels loose, snug it up with the adjustment screw. Store somewhere cool and dry away from prolonged damp to keep the aluminium shaft free of corrosion.

Frequently Asked Questions

🧗 Is this listing for one pole or a pair?
This listing is for one pole. If you need a pair for hiking, add two to your cart. Each pole comes with its own set of accessories (mud mop, rubber protector, replacement tip, and detachable snow tray).
📏 What height range does this pole adjust to?
The pole extends from 110 cm to 130 cm using the precision scale markings on the shaft. Do not extend past the Stop logo. When folded, it compresses to 36 cm.
🔒 How does the locking system work?
Pull each section outward and the concealed lock pops up automatically when it reaches the correct position. To retract, press and hold the button on each section and push inward. The 3-in-1 system includes a wire connection, safety lock with adjustment screw, and a reinforced ring with steel column.
❄️ Can I use these poles in snow and mud?
Yes — a detachable snow tray is included in the box. Attach it to the tip to prevent the pole from sinking into snow, mud, or soft ground. The tungsten-titanium steel tip also provides grip on hard and rocky surfaces.
⚖️ How heavy is each pole?
Each pole weighs 250g — lighter than a standard water bottle. The 7075 aviation aluminium alloy shaft provides strength without adding significant weight to your pack.
🎨 What colours are available?
Available in Violet, Red, Black, and Green. Select your preferred colour from the variant selector on this page.
