Standing round a campsite, working outside, or waiting on the touchline in freezing temperatures gets old fast — and bulky insulated coats only fix half the problem, because they trap the warmth you already have rather than generating new heat. This heated gilet takes a different approach: 9 carbon-fibre heating zones spread across the neck, upper back, lower back and core turn a plugged-in USB power bank into targeted, adjustable warmth you control with the press of a button.

Unlike single-zone heated jackets that only warm the chest, this vest wraps heat right round your torso and neck, and layers cleanly under a shell or over a hoodie so you can dress for the activity rather than just the weather. A simple 3-gear chest switch lets you dial in the exact heat level you need, whether you're pitching a tent at dawn or standing on a job site all afternoon.

Heated gilet worn across different outdoor activities

Why It Stands Out
  • 9-zone carbon fibre heating — panels across the neck, upper back, lower back and core deliver even, full-torso warmth rather than one hot spot.
  • 3-gear temperature control — a chest-mounted switch cycles between 25°C, 35°C and 45°C, with separate back and belly zone selection so you can target the heat where you actually need it.
  • USB power bank compatible — plugs into any standard USB power bank (not included) via an internal battery pocket, so you're not locked into a proprietary battery pack.
  • Windproof mesh underarm panels — vent excess heat and moisture during activity without letting cold air cut through.
  • Stand collar design — shields the back of the neck from wind, which is also one of the areas the vest actively heats.
  • Front zip pocket — a secure, water-resistant pocket for your phone, keys, or the power bank itself.
  • Lightweight, flexible build — thin heating elements and a soft shell keep your full range of motion intact, so it layers under a jacket without adding bulk.

Best Uses

Built for anyone spending long stretches outside in the cold: campers breaking down a site before sunrise, hillwalkers taking breaks on exposed ridges, anglers sitting still for hours, commuters waiting on cold platforms, or anyone working outdoors through a British winter. Because it's powered by a standard USB power bank rather than a bulky built-in battery, it's easy to pack for a weekend trip and just as easy to recharge on the go using the same power bank you'd carry for your phone.

Three heat settings on the heated gilet

Setting It Up and Using It
  1. Charge a standard USB power bank fully before your trip.
  2. Slide the power bank into the internal battery pocket and connect the USB cable to the vest's port.
  3. Put the vest on and zip up the front.
  4. Press and hold the chest switch to power on; the indicator light shows the active heat level.
  5. Tap the switch to cycle through the 3 heat settings (25°C, 35°C, 45°C) and choose which zones (back, belly, or both) are active.
  6. Power off by holding the switch again before storing or removing the power bank.

Safety note: Start on the lowest setting and increase gradually so you can judge the temperature. Don't wear the vest against bare skin on the highest setting for extended periods, and don't sleep in it — sustained skin contact at higher temperatures can cause low-temperature burns.

Care and Storage

Disconnect and remove the power bank before any cleaning. Spot clean the shell with a damp cloth and mild soap — never machine wash, soak or submerge the vest, as that will damage the internal heating elements and wiring. Let it air dry fully before storing. When it's not in use, keep the vest flat or loosely folded somewhere dry, avoiding sharp creases directly over the heating panels — over time, those creases shorten the life of the carbon fibre elements.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need to buy a power bank separately?
Yes. This vest is designed to run off any standard USB power bank, which is not included. This keeps the vest lightweight and lets you use a power bank you may already own.
How long will the heat last on one charge?
Runtime depends on your power bank's capacity and the heat setting used. Higher-capacity power banks and lower heat settings will extend runtime significantly.
Can I heat only my back or only my core?
Yes. The chest-mounted switch lets you select back and belly heating zones independently, in addition to choosing between 3 heat levels.
Can I wash this vest?
Remove the power bank first, then spot clean with a damp cloth and mild soap. Do not machine wash or submerge the vest, as this can damage the internal heating elements.
What sizes are available and how do I choose?
Available in XS through 2XL, converted from the manufacturer's original measurements to Canadian sizing standards based on height and weight. Check the size chart above, and size up if you plan to layer heavily underneath.
Can I wear this under a jacket?
Yes. The heating panels are thin and flexible, so the vest layers comfortably under a shell or jacket, or over a hoodie or sweatshirt.
