A heavy, bulky sleeping bag is the fastest way to fill half your rucksack before you've even packed the tent. This ultralight cotton sleeping bag weighs roughly 760 g, compresses into a pouch you can hold in one hand, and unrolls into a full-length bag with proper room to move. Rated for nights between 5°C and 15°C, it's made for spring and autumn conditions — which, realistically, covers the bulk of the British camping calendar.

What Makes It a Smart Pick

Three-layer build — a 20D 380T nylon outer shell, 80 g/m² silk-like cotton filling, and a soft 240T polyester pongee lining that feels gentle against the skin.

Water-repellent shell — the 20D nylon outer resists light moisture, morning dew and ground condensation.

Two-way zip — opens from the top or the bottom, so you can vent your feet on milder nights without unzipping the whole bag.

Zips together as a double — pair a left-zip bag with a right-zip bag and join them along the full side seam to make a two-person double sleeping bag.

Opens flat as a quilt — fully unzipped, it lies flat for use as a blanket, quilt or sleeping mat liner.

Packs tiny — compresses down to just 31 × Ø13 cm, slotting into a rucksack alongside the rest of your kit.

Full-length adult fit — unfolds to 205 × 85 cm, comfortable for adults up to 1.8 m tall.

Where You'll Use It

This is a three-season sleeping bag for spring and autumn trips where overnight temperatures sit between 5°C and 15°C. It's at home in a tent on a camping mat, on a cabin or hostel bunk, or at a festival where a compact, packable sleep setup makes all the difference. Backpackers will appreciate the low weight and small packed size, whilst the zip-together design suits couples and mates camping together who fancy the option of a double. It also doubles as a travel blanket for journeys where a full duvet simply isn't practical.

The Construction, Explained

The outer shell is 20D 380T nylon — a thin, tightly woven fabric with a water-repellent finish that shrugs off light moisture whilst keeping the whole bag light. Inside, the 240T polyester pongee lining is smooth and skin-friendly. Sandwiched between the two sits 80 g/m² of silk-like cotton filling, providing the insulation for that 5°C–15°C comfort range. The two-way zip runs the full length of one side and around the foot box, and the splicing system works on a simple left-zip/right-zip pairing — one of each zips together along the full side seam to form a double bag.

Packing It and Setting It Up

To pack, lay the sleeping bag flat, fold it lengthways into thirds, then roll it tightly from the foot end up towards the head. Slide it into the included compression pouch and cinch the straps. In camp, simply unroll and zip up fully or partway. On warmer nights, open the foot end with the two-way zip whilst keeping your upper body snug. To join two bags into a double, make sure you have one left-zip and one right-zip bag, line the zips up along the full side seam, and zip them together from bottom to top.

Washing and Care

Machine wash on a gentle cycle in cool water with a mild detergent — no bleach or fabric softener. Tumble dry on low or hang to air dry completely before packing away. For long-term storage, keep it loose rather than compressed in its pouch: months of sustained compression flattens the loft of the filling and reduces warmth over time.
